William Reinhardt is an Albany County Legislator representing the 33rd Legislative District, having taken office in January 2016. He previously served on the Bethlehem Town Board and the town’s Budget Advisory Team, and brings more than 26 years of professional experience in energy policy and technology development from his career at the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority. A strong advocate for sustainability, Reinhardt co-founded Solarize Albany to advance renewable energy adoption through public education and innovative market approaches. He studied at Cornell University and holds master’s degrees in City and Regional Planning from Rutgers University and in Energy Management and Policy from the University of Pennsylvania.
