Albany, N.Y.WHAT: The Albany County Pine Hills Land Authority (ACPHLA) and its strategic redevelopment analyst CPL will host the first of three “Reimagine Saint Rose” community visioning workshops, intended to listen to public input and collaboratively chart a future for the former College of Saint Rose campus in the Pine Hills neighborhood.
The 26.5-acre site was acquired by ACPHLA in early 2025 for $35 million via Albany County bonds. Since the acquisition, the ACPHLA Board of Directors and CEO Kevin O’Connor have been focused on securing and maintaining the campus while CPL studies its potential best uses and revitalization. Key components of the preliminary vision include education and workforce uses, small retail, community services, mixed age/income housing, and open and green space.
The community visioning session will be facilitated by River Street Planning & Development and Environmental Design & Research, Landscape Architecture, Engineering & Environmental Services, D.P.C. (EDR). Neighbors in Pine Hills, community groups and constituents from across Albany County are invited to attend the workshop to ask questions and offer insights.
