Advance Albany County Alliance is redeveloping the former McDonald’s building at 106 South Pearl Street. As part of downtown planning work over the past year, hundreds of participants have gathered to discuss potential investments. One project identified was the development of an Intercity Bus Terminal serving the regional anchors, Trailways and Greyhound, with CDTA service, a public safety office, neighborhood retail store and outdoor gathering area. This project aims to revitalize the long-vacant property while creating a welcoming transportation hub and community asset for the South End.

The community workshop will be facilitated by consulting design team LaBella Associates in partnership with AACA staff. Transit service providers for the Intercity Bus Terminal will also attend.

Community members will have the chance to walk around the room, visit displays with emerging ideas for neighborhood retail uses and outdoor community gathering space, and share your thoughts directly with the design team. Participants can drop in anytime between 6:00pm to 7:30pm and stay as long as they choose.

Neighbors in the South End and local community groups are encouraged to attend the workshop to ask questions and offer insights.
