Corinna M. Testo
Born and raised in Troy and Albany, NY. Cori attended college in Utica, NY. She then lived in West Palm Beach, Florida for 5 years after college, where she and three friends opened an Italian restaurant in Del Ray Beach, FL. After 3 years it was sold as a turn-key operation and returned home to the capital region in 2006.
Before starting at Advance Albany County Alliance (AACA) in September 2024, Cori was the owner/operator of Big & Small, come one, come all, dog care; located in Colonie, NY (Albany County) for 7 years. The services offered at Big & Small were doggie daycare, dog boarding, dog training and dog grooming.
This business venture was a dream come true. She worked 7 days a week and put her all into the care of every canine that passed through my door. However, due to the lack of steady and reliable help, she made the hard decision to close the business in the summer of 2024. Through her God given gift, she helped over 500 dogs and their families, making their lives better in every aspect. And because of her success, she walked away on a high note. She is excited to work for AACA and be involved in Economic Development for local businesses in Albany County. She relates first-hand to the demands of owning and running a business in Albany County.
Before that, Cori worked for the New York State Senate. She worked in a few different offices and departments throughout her career in the State Senate. Most notably, she worked as an administrative assistant for Senator Martin Golden, whose district was in Brooklyn, NY. Cori also worked in Senate Operations, Senate Purchasing, and Bill Drafting.
